JICUF April 24, 2017

Applicant: Kai Nakagawa
Grant Amount: ¥400,000

Theater NIJI brings musicals to people, especially those who rarely have access to theater such as kindergarten pupils, elementary school children and nursing home residents. In this Rainbow Bridge Project 2016, we are going to visit Jakarta and Surabaya, stay with local people at home, and deliver musical performance ‘Koko and magical compass’ in 10 places such as elementary schools, and community centers. Ciherang village in Jakarta and Simokerto sub district in Surabaya both have a problem of poverty. We hope that our musical give them happiness and bring out their hidden possibility of talents and expression by joining our performance. In addition to the performance, we will have a workshop to let children know about culture.
