Interview with Aomi Kuwayama, Recipient of JICUF Grant
Aomi Kuwayama, junior student at ICU, was awarded a grant of ¥150,000 during the spring term to cover the cost of field work in the Philippines. The purpose of her research is to investigate educational inequality between urban and rural areas in the Philippines. Here is our interview with Aomi.
Interview with Professor Tomoyuki Yoshida, Spring Term Grant Recipient
Senior Associate Professor of linguistics, Dr. Tomoyuki Yoshida, is one of five ICU faculty members to receive a grant from the JICUF during the spring term. He has been awarded ¥600,000 to host the Workshop on Altaic Formal Linguistics (WAFL) at ICU in spring 2017. Dr. Yoshida was kind enough to answer a few questions about the program.
Global Link 2016 & New Intern Ms. Shiori Kitajima
From July 5th to 29th, we will host the 3rd annual Global Link program here in NYC! This year, we are excited to welcome 12 undergraduate students from ICU and spend an event-packed 4 weeks with them. Ms. Shiori Kitajima, ICU alumna and recent Teacher’s College, Columbia University graduate, has also joined as an intern to help us run the program.

Rethinking Peace Studies (RPS), a global academic initiative that the JICUF has funded and organized over a span of 3 years, is coming to a close. With our partners, ICU and Rutgers University, we invited scholars and professionals from diverse disciplines to participate in these discussions.
